While using this site, you may choose to submit personal information through email or online forms. BHC uses this information to process your requests. BHC will not intentionally sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties, except as required by law. BHC has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, to assist in maintaining data security, and to assist in correctly using the information we collect online.
Security Precautions Users Should Take
Although BHC makes every effort to secure its networks, BHC cannot guarantee privacy of online communications. Users must use discretion in providing information in online communications and open forums on the Web or when providing information as a donor, patient, or research participant. Always close the browser after completing an online session.

Health Information Privacy
BHC, its staff, clinical and research partners, and volunteers value the privacy of the personal and protected health information you provide. BHC follows the requirements related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996. Users authorize when and how BHC uses your personal data for research, clinical care, legal, accounting, fundraising, or billing purposes.
Other Sites Have Different Policies
BHC’s website contains links to other independently managed sites from cited as resources or partner organizations. Some may use information for purposes other than stated above. It is your responsibility to read their separate privacy statements. BHC urges you to exercise caution when providing personal data to any site. Check their policies and contact them if you have questions.
Protecting Children’s Privacy
BHC does not target or collect information from children under the age of 13. If BHC learns that a child under age 13 has provided personally identifiable information to its site, BHC will promptly remove this from its files.
Agreement for International Transfer Of Personal Information
The Internet operates in a global environment and where applicable, will required the transfer of your personal information across borders. You acknowledge and expressly consent to BHC processing the personal information of BHC website users who are located outside the United States (U.S.) through transferring outside of each eligible country to the U. S. where BHC servers are located and information stored. BHC takes security precautions as described above but cannot otherwise ensure compliance with each user’s country of residence.
Information Collection And Use
Server Logs: Whenever users visit the BHC website, information is captured from your browser, including:

- BHC cookies (data bits shared to store individual preferences, not personal data)
- Pages requested
- Date, time, and duration of visit
Profile: BHC may collect information such as username, address, ethnicity, age, gender, date of birth, email address, and any other information you voluntarily add to your profile where applicable on the BHC website.
Opt-Out Options.
Users may opt-out of receiving future messages and announcements from BHC and be removed name from BHC mailing lists. Opt-out provisions do not apply to information collected by cookies or used internally to recognize users and/or facilitate user visits to BHC website, or information BHC may retain to comply with legal requirements.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Users of BHC’s website agree that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this policy shall be filed only in the state or federal courts in the State of Utah and users hereby consent and submit exclusively to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. Nothing in this policy shall prevent BHC from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
