Were Moving

goal exceededWe’re Moving!  In our spring campaign we laid out an audacious goal to raise $300,000 that would allow us to move into a larger facility in order to serve more patients, expand education efforts, and increase research participation.
We are thrilled to announce that we have exceeded our goal by more than 260%, raising more than $1.o8 million!

________

For some time now, the Bateman Horne Center has been wrestling with physical and personnel capacity restrictions in an outdated facility space. Too many patients have been waiting for far too long to be seen. We have felt an urgent need to  increase our capacity to see patients and grow our research program. Today we are thrilled to announce that We’re Moving!

We’ll be in our new, larger location at 24 South 1100 East, Suite 205 — just east across the parking lot from our current location — on Monday August 15th!We're Moving

This move and the staff expansion underway will allow us to:

  • see more patients and offer them life-altering support and care
  • enroll more patients and healthy controls in the expanding pool of cutting edge, innovative research; especially those efforts targeting critical biomarker discovery
  • and expand educational efforts for both patients and medical providers, not only in the local community but far beyond through a variety of online efforts

We want to offer our unending appreciation to everyone who offered tremendous support through our Spring campaign and beyond. This move and the staff expansion is made possible because many came together with gifts large and small to lift us up and make us stronger.

Now we will use your investment in us to do the same for as many patients as possible.

We want to thank two anonymous donors in particular who were instrumental in helping us achieve more than $1.08 million raised and outfit the new space with brand-new, custom furnishings in all of the patient areas at NO expense to BHC.

Stay tuned for more. As we get settled in we’ll bring you details on how we will maximize the investments made in us. We are making plans now to utilize our new space with expanded patient care, increased education programs, and expanded innovative research that targets biomarkers. All of these efforts will move us further down the road toward making ME/CFS and FM mainstream medicine; closer to a day when patients are readily diagnosed, effectively treated, and widely met with empathy and understanding.
